Conceptual photography essentially is the photographer trying to convey a message or “concept”. Usually this message is conveyed through some abstract symbolism which can be interpreted by the viewer. Even though most photographers have a specific meaning they are trying to get across, usually the image can be interpreted in many different ways.

So much of today’ advertising is missing the conceptual element. It’s all so dry and straightforward, void of spirit, soul, and sex appeal.
But I think we’re quickly headed back toward conceptual advertising – photography with an inherent friction and message, with a headline that adds a surprise third element. It’s an easy way to shine through the dull and go past the dim.
You’re ahead of the wave. Thanks again.
