The colder weather may be reminding you to stock up on tea and start warming up a pot of water. There is a calming warmth that comes with drinking tea as well as health benefits.
Depending on the type of tea you drink, it can be filled with antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and a variety of other healthy effects. For those who dislike coffee or are sensitive to caffeine, tea can not only be a lower caffeine alternative, but it can also contains theanine, an amino acid, that helps relieve the jittery affect that caffeine can have. Medical research is also being done about the long term benefits of drinking tea and it’s contribution to a longer lifespan and preventing cancer. Read more about the benefits and research about tea on the ITO EN tea website here and a Harvard health article here.
Tea also makes a great photography subject, as you can see from these lovely pictures.
