38 Cool Spider Pictures

August 23, 2015 · Nate Kay

Spiders from afar might be creepy and scary for some, but up close they are very cool looking. In fact, these spider pictures may inspire you to invest in a good macro lens and try your hand at finding a few friends around your own house.

A few quick tips for taking decent spider pictures.

1. Be patient and take lots of photos. Being up close means any slight movements can cause a blurry photo or your focus point to be off.
2. A good depth of field and isolating your subject will lead to much more interesting macro pictures.
3. If the spider is dark, try to fill your background with something lighter and vice versa.
4. Keep it simple.
