These pictures are beautiful, but it would have been interesting to have a legend explaining tha name of these mountains.

A view of a mountain always allows us to see that there can be something-or a somebody that is (who is) higher than our very existence. The beauty and innocence, plus the intimidating presence of a mountain view captured through high-powered lenses could really produce breathtaking shots and artistic concepts as well.

Amazing pictures, thanks for showing them! Is there any chance we can get descriptions on the names/locations of these mountains? There are some landscapes in there that are so astonishing, I’d love to travel there someday (with my photo gear, of course :D)

I’d like to know where the 3rd one down was taken. Would love to go there!!! I agree with another commenter – tell us where these were taken please

I’ll gather the locations and get the post updated.

Really? Most of these are weak! Where’s the Ansel Adams? What about pano and large format? Most of these look like bad tourist pictures!

  • Tom Frye

James Roberts I think that you are jealous. Although I would say that some of them are over Photoshoped. Photographers went to far with saturations and color ajustments. About half are beautifully done.

Nice images, but it would be even better if locations of each shot had been published as well.
